On January, 20, 1933, Adolf Hitler took power in Germany determined to restore that nation to greatness and Europe to servitude. To put his plans into effect, Hitler rearmed Germany, creating an airforce, expanding the army and beginning the construction of a mighty fleet. |

Through diplomacy, subversion and ultimately conquest, Hitler seized control of mainland Europe. |
 Finally only Britain stood between Hitler and victory. Assaulted form the air and besiged by sea, the
island nation stood proudly defiant.An island nation, Britain survives only because it controls the sea. |
But Hitler has built up his navy in preparation for this day.
Disguised raiders, u-boats and small battleships are ready when the war begins.And as the confrontation reaches its climax, a much more formidable threat appears. The worlds mightiest warship, the battleship Bismarck! |

 The German Navy has to sever the Britain's lifeline. The Royal Navy must stop it. This confrontation will determine who wins the war, and this sets the stage for the... |

But; we have some comments about this intro -
Where is the sense of time?
In the beginning; it is sometimes during the years after 1933.
Then the whole nazi expansion process is detailed shown; it stretches to around 1942.
Then suddenly, we jump back to the beginning of the war; when small battleships, subs and raiders are ready!
And then- ahead to 1940 and the just-completed Bismarck cruising in a Fjord between high mountains. Hey, the Bismarck entered the Fjords of Norway only one time, 1941!
We are thereafter rapidly moved to the battle for the Denmark Straits and the sinking of Hood. Late May 1941.
After that; a text says that THIS sets the stage for the Great Naval Battles..! But the heck, the game itself is already in the middle of the campaign period when this happens...
And a small detail - As Europe turns red under the swastika, Finland never turns red although they were 'allied' with Germany from 1941 (to 1944).., as well as germany helped this nation during 1940 (Winter War) against Russia!
Although not that important, we changed this detail in pic 2. This should not be considered support of Nazi Germany, but an attempt to put things the way they
actually were.)
